Team 5712 Hemlock's Gray Matter is a FIRST Robotics Competition team from Hemlock, MI, USA.
FIRST Robotics Competition is an international high school robotics competition. Each year, teams of high school students, coaches, and mentors work during a six-week period to build robots capable of competing in that year's game that weigh up to 125 pounds.
Hemlock's team was founded in 2015 and was the start of the robotics program at Hemlock Public Schools. In Team 5712's short history, they have already won many awards and have expanded significantly.

The game revolves around both alliances placing cones and inflatable cubes on platforms and poles in specific orientations and balancing on Charging Stations at the end of the match. Recycle Rush was the 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition game. It involves picking up and stacking totes on scoring platforms, putting pool noodles ("litter") inside recycling containers, and putting the containers on top of scoring stacks of totes.
